MAO Translations proudly presents our biggest project yet: Umineko no Naku Koro ni.

MAO Umineko 1.0.0

A new English translation of Umineko When They Cry, covering episodes 1–8,
for Umineko Project.

Choose between two editions:

• MAO PC follows the original PC scenario.
• MAO PS3 follows the PS3-derived scenario used by Umineko Project.

Both editions use Umineko Project’s visuals, music and Japanese voices.
Only the main story script changes between them; the translated menus,
character profiles, TIPS, artwork and subtitles are shared.

This release includes:

• The complete eight-episode story in both editions.
• An English adaptation of Beatrice’s epitaph and its associated deductions.
• Translated menus, profiles, TIPS, puzzle evidence and relevant image text.
• English song and reunion-chorus subtitles.
• The original PC festival scene in MAO PC.

PS3 voices remain enabled in MAO PC where the scenarios differ. PC-only
passages without corresponding recordings are unvoiced.

Umineko Project’s additional bonus stories and translation commentary are
not included. Original game scenery and production credits are retained.

Install over an existing, working Umineko Project installation. See
INSTALL-MAO.txt for instructions, including switching editions and removal.
